A great game played late on Tuesday night, with Llysfaen Lionesses roaring to success with nine goals.

Four goals from Alannah Dunne helped Llysfaen Lionesses make it two wins out of three and go top of Group East in the North Wales Ladies Recreational Football League.

Emma Fisher netted twice for the winners, with Kirsty Buckley, Hayley Gibson and Sophie Heap adding one apiece.

Llysfaen management said: “Mike Bodden and myself Amy Conway-Williams are very proud of how the ladies have developed as a team since the beginning of the league. They are going from strength to strength. Tonight was the second game in a row we have kept a clean sheet and it now takes us top of the recreational league. Our youngest player (one of our strikers) managed to get 4 past their goalie, who managed to also make some fantastic saves.”

It's a break for the Llysfaen Lionesses in the league now, but they'll be back in action in January. However, you can see the ladies play in a friendly at the Daisy Pitch, Llysfaen on Sunday 1st December KO 1pm against Llanfairfechan Ladies.

Bethesda Athletic had to fight back from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw in their debut North Wales Ladies Recreational League Group West clash with Queen Bees Eglwysbach on Monday night.

Pesda were crowned North Wales Women’s League Division Two champions in their first season of formation in 2018-19, but resigned after playing just one Division One match this campaign due to a shortage of players.

Rather than fold, the team decided to enter the recreational league and aim to rebuild with a view to possibly rejoining the NWWFL in the future.

Their first game against Queen Bees proved a tough one.

The Bees took the lead through Chev Cannon on her debut and Elin Charlton added a second before Bethesda clawed it back through Shannon Jade Jones and Katie Midwinter.

Eglwysbach remain undefeated.

Player of the match for Queen Bees was debutant Karen Martin.
